The 33-day search for the next Bradford City manager is over. Graham Alexander’s reign began with a home defeat to Barrow that underlines the prevalent issues at Valley Parade this season.
In this edition of the podcast, Jason McKeown and Alex Scott reflect on the Alexander appointment and the early indications of how he will line up the Bantams.
Also in this episode:
- Was there a plan? We look back on a period of huge uncertainty, as supporters waited for the managerial vacancy to be filled.
- Lowering expectations – so far, City are a long way off promotion material, so what are Alexander’s aims this season? We discuss.
- From high achievers to a worrying dip: we analyse the loss in form of Harry Lewis and Andy Cook.
- Leaner and meaner – a focus on where Alexander might want to trim the fat, as he gets to grips with a large squad.
- And with Tim not available to appear on this episode due to the imminent arrival of his first child, we share stories and experiences of taking children to watch Bradford City – and going to matches with your parents.

it was obvious in the summer that we were gonna struggle this season. The late flurry of loan players proved we had no real plan after the play off loss. Not sure if this is down to limited cash, a useless transfer committee or a clueless Hughes. Who knows!? We only reached the play offs due to the heroics of 2 players, Cook & Lewis. Now they are off form we look a side looking over our shoulder towards a relegation battle. I think it’s time to point fingers at Rupp. Whatever he’s doing, it isn’t working.
Anorher great podcast. Chapman isn’t a number 10 howeve which keeps getting repeated. He’s always played out wide. Chapman can ‘skin’ every fullback when played in his correct position.
