  1. By anyone’s standards, that was a poor game and very hard to watch.

For me it was a lower end L2 game with both sides reverting to hoof, poor passing and finishing.

The only consolation is that City were the slightly better side with a better defence.

The game also highlighted the fact that we are desperately short of an out and out striker and this must surely be addressed before the window closes. GA cannot keep moving Humphrys into that position when he himself, along with Humphrys has stated that that is not his position.

    • League 1 and League 2 are not much different (certainly in the bottom half) which is why automatically promoted sides always (apart from 2 out of the last 36) last at least a year.

Maybe you didn’t watch some of the highlights from previous years, i.e. both legs of the Charlton v Wycombe match – but that was a typical L1 game.

I do worry, that with us been away for so long we seem to have forgot how dire L1 footie can be.

The disadvantage of our system, is that we will always suffer when playing low block, low possession teams.

The good news for us, is that there are more teams who play an open style – which suits us better.
