Project Bradford is a photographic project showcasing all that is positive about the city and raising money for the Burns Unit. The view of Bradford, especially in the national media is a fairly negative one. Working here for the past four years I have met some really interesting people doing extraordinary things in Bradford. I want to tell these stories in the form of a photographic book and a gallery and promote the true side of Bradford.
To fund the publishing of the book and the gallery showing I have set up a crowdfunding page at www.kickstarter.com/projects/projectbradford/project-bradford-book-and-gallery where people can see some of the images and find out more about the project. Once we have hit the target the book will be printed and 100% of the sales will go to the Burns Unit on this, the 30th anniversary of the Bradford City fire disaster.
Bradford City (especially the fans) feature in the book and I hope Bradford City fans can get behind this project and make it a success. With your help and the funding I already have in place the project can go live in September.
The project is also on Twitter @ProjectBradford
The pictures included in this article show Bradford City fan Jake Turton with his dad Andy after Jake was given the all clear from his brain tumour, Bradford City fans at the FA Cup game against Reading with their ‘sea of scarves’ and people paying their respects at the 30th anniversary memorial service of the City fire disaster.
