Bantams Disabled Organisation (or Bantams DO for short) is a new organisation set up to help supporters to get involved in making in a difference to the practical and social experiences of fans with disabilities in supporting Bradford City FC. It aims to work closely with the Football Club in enhancing and representing the views of disabled supporters with regard to specific issues as well as bringing an inclusive social element for its members to enjoy.
The organisation is thankful for the early support of national supporters’ campaign Level Playing Field, local community project – Lead the Change (co-ordinated by Participate Projects), and the Bradford City Supporters’ Board, and are now looking for likeminded individuals to help drive this group forward.
Bantams DO are therefore looking for any interested parties to nominate themselves for a number of exciting roles within this new initiative. These roles are Secretary, Fundraising Officer, Social Media Officer and Events Co-ordinator. Nominations are open to anyone wishing to get involved to bring their experiences and skills for the benefit of others, and can be taken on behalf of other potential members with their agreement.
Anyone who wishes to place a nomination either for themselves or someone else is asked to e-mail Bantams DO at firstname.lastname@example.org with a short paragraph which outlines the skills and experiences they have which make them suitable for the role.
The deadline for this is Wednesday 25 March 2015. After this date, all candidates will be sent more information, including how to vote. The results of the vote will be announced at the launch night at Valley Parade on Thursday 9 April.
