Width of a Post understands that Gianni Paladini’s proposed takeover of Bradford City is in doubt, with the deadline to complete the deal just hours away.
Following our story last night which discussed the takeover and Phil Parkinson’s future, a couple of sources have been in touch to suggest that Paladini is struggling to raise the capital needed to purchase the club from Mark Lawn and Julian Rhodes.
This situation could change very quickly. Should Paladini raise the funds in time for the deadline, he would be in a position to complete the takeover. One assumes that the Italian will be busy on his mobile phone this afternoon; and there is no doubt that he has rich friends who might be persuaded to make a last minute investment.
Alternatively, the club could agree to a further extension of the exclusivity period that ends today, if there is a realistic possibility Paladini can secure the capital needed.
